Wigan Harriers showed their strength picking up medals across a range of events at the Northern Senior and U20 Championships held in Derby. 


Leading the way was double Gold medalist Cory Middleton who dominated the U20 hurdles. First up 110m hurdles and Corey was just outside his best to win in 15.01. Then followed the 400m hurdles where Corey smashed his personal best with 55.56 to take the gold. 


Chasing Corey home in silver over the 400 m hurdles was Owen Baron who also ran a pb of

57.04. 


In the field the throwers showed their quality picking up a host of medals. 

Bekah Hopper collected silver in the Senior Women’s Javelin and was close to her best for 5th place in the Discus. 


Millie Forrest collected silvers in the Senior Women’s Para Shot and Discus. 


Completing the medals Yas Baker picked up Bronze in the U20 Women’s Shot. 


Back on the track and sprinters Holly Capstick and Isobel Dyson also made finals in the U20 Women’s with Holly 6th over 100m and Isobel 6th over 400m.
