Northern U16 & U14 Championships.

Wigan Harriers had a good turn out at the Northern U16 & U14 championships. 

Leading the way was Sam Hodgkinson who took the Northern U16 boys high jump title with a leap of 1.76m in windy conditions. For good measure Sam was also 5th in the 100m hurdles in 15.17 seconds. 

Erin Baron secured silver in the U16 girls pole vault with 2.40m, despite still being U14. Sophia Bowden-McKay finished 4th with 2.30m. 

Elizabeth Teslim-Balogun picked up bronze in the U14 shot put with 9.13m to complete the medal haul. 

Poppy Duffy finished 6th in the U14 girls 800m in a pb 2.21.94, as did Skye Gordon in the U16 girls 300m hurdles in 49.80 and Beau Wotherspoon in the U14 boys Javelin with 26.97. Beau also jumped 3.22m in the long jump.

Katie Louise-Malley finished 8th in the U16 girls 1500m in 4.59.80 and 10th over 800m in

2.21.13. Louis Ball was 10th in the U16 javelin with 28.60m. 

U16 Elody Hill ran 44.00 over 300m, whilst James Darby ran 40.17 in the male equivalent. Max Margerison ran pbs over 100m 13.78 and 200m 28.02.

Sophie Atherton completed the clubs turn out with a 14.27 run over 100m to make the semifinal of the U14 girls event.
